The Rising Sun

Set on rising-sunMitchell Hill, a short route from our Guesthouse (through Agar Road), in a quiet historical quarter, The Rising Sun is the hub of the local community and a destination for visitors to the county.

At The Rising Sun they offer superb food, showcasing local, seasonal produce. Tom, a hands-on owner and dedicated chef is incredibly knowledgable on seasonal produce and writes his menus accordingly. They work in a very flexible way, changing dishes and menus regularly to coincide with, not only seasonal produce but also the very best quality Cornwall has to offer.


Saffron is nestled in the heart of the restaurant quarter of Truro and has been a restaurant under head chef Nik Tinney for over 10 years.dsc_1429
New owners, Chris and Lucy Siagos (of Truro Arts Company and the Arts Café) have recently completed a full renovation and refurbishment of the space to bring the surrounds in line with the fine dining menu to provide a top quality eating experience. Almost all ingredients are locally sourced, and this dictates a highly seasonal regularly changing menu.
